| Water Trail
I have a new book from Sasquatch Press titled Watertrail, A Hidden Path Through Puget Sound. Using a sea kayak I follow the new Cascadia Marine Trail through Puget Sound. En route I describe its people, its wilderness, its history and its uniqueness as well as the daily adventure of a 400 miles solo paddle.
The Hanford Reach I'm working with the Nature Conservancy on the Hanford Reach in Washington State, the last free flowing stretch of the Columbia River that runs through the Atomic Energy Commission nuclear site. Now this last salmon spawning redd on Columbia and the grasslands surrounding it is being returned to the public but for what use?
Skid Road The term "Skid Road" originated in Seattle, Washington USA. Back then it was opium, alcohol and mayhem. Today there are heroin deals going down in every decent shadow from here to Pike Street. This year I shoot the scene on skid road for both documentary and needed stock images.
Itinerary 2003 Much of this year will be devoted to working on the Seattle Book and moving ahead with the Couples project. Rowing regattas and specific shoots on rowers will take place throughout the year. Kayaking will take me to Alaska and British Columbia with perhaps an East coast destination in the works.
